PROVINCIAL ASSOCIATIONS

Ontario Dairy Council

Ontario Dairy Council (ODC), incorporated in 1971, is a provincial not-for-profit trade association representing the interests and concerns of dairy processors in Ontario. Representing member companies that process approximately 96% of the milk produced in the province with sales over $4 Billion annually and employs nearly 8000 Ontarians, ODC's mission is to promote progressive policy making decisions within government and regulatory bodies to ensure a profitable dairy processing industry responsible to consumer interests. Not only does ODC provide a strong united voice for the dairy processors in Ontario, it also keeps members up-to-date on current industry issues, facilitates access to technical expertise, provides continuing education offerings, and offers important networking opportunities.

The Quebec Dairy Council

The Quebec Dairy Council is an association of Quebec industrial and commercial businesses involved in the various phases of the production, processing and distribution of milk and dairy products and all food products based primarily on milk.

Its mission is to contribute to the economic, social and professional development of all its members, in a fair and equitable manner while fostering the dynamic and structured development of the Quebec industry.

The Council represents approximately 70 private dairy businesses in Quebec and has 50 associate members (businesses operating in a related field, suppliers of goods and services).
