The organization plays an important role in promoting the interests of its members and encouraging broad acknowledgement of the benefits that growing the dairy processing industry brings to its members, the broader dairy industry, and the Canadian economy as a whole. DPAC does this in three ways:

Regulatory Affairs

Works to advance quality, food safety, and innovation, while representing the interests of dairy processors to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Agriculture and Agri-food Canada (AAFC) and other regulatory bodies.

Public Policy

Monitors and analyses industry and economic trends, as well as government initiatives and policies, to develop policy positions on behalf of the industry.

Advocacy

Represents the industry’s interests by working with politicians, government officials, the Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) and other key stakeholders such as the Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) and provincial dairy councils:
