The Dairy Processors Association of Canada (DPAC) and the Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) joined colleagues in the international dairy community in signing the Dairy Declaration of Rotterdam on July 18, 2017.

Launched at the 2016 International Dairy Federation (IDF) World Dairy Summit, the Dairy Declaration of Rotterdam is a joint venture between the IDF and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Recognizing the role that dairy plays in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, signatories agree to take an integrated approach to promoting the sustainability of dairy systems in order to feed the world with safe, sustainable products.

The 10th nation to sign, Canada joins countries like: China, Israel, Denmark and Zimbabwe in making this commitment to support and enable sustainable practices in the dairy sector.
