The Dairy Processors Association of Canada (DPAC) recognizes the impressive amount of work that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has put forward in amalgamating 14 sets of food regulations into one overarching document.

The publication this morning of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) in Canada Gazette, Part II is a positive step in the modernization of Canada’s food safety regime.

Along with other stakeholders, DPAC has actively contributed to the various rounds of consultations that have taken place over the last years. We look forward to further collaboration on future enhancements related to this initiative.
