The Dairy Processors Association of Canada (DPAC) is the only national organization representing the public policy and regulatory interests of dairy processors in Canada. DPAC supports the continued growth and sustainability of the dairy industry. It recognizes that a strong, united voice for the dairy industry will benefit Canadian processors, producers, and consumers.
To this end, DPAC gathers intelligence and provides a forum for industry leaders to connect. It collaborates with industry and government stakeholders to provide an outlet for its members to contribute to the public policy dialogue.
Members have the opportunity to contribute in a number of ways:
Contribute to and access members-only DPAC economic and policy research and analysis.
Provide input to DPAC policy development and regulatory initiatives.
Join standing committees and advisory bodies, including:
- The Dairy Regulatory/Technical Committee (DRTC), responsible for protecting and advancing member interests regarding regulatory/technical and related matters (e.g. food safety, food standards, food labeling, inspection, etc.).
- The Animal Welfare Committee (AWC), responsible for protecting and advancing member interests in regard to animal welfare and related matters (e.g. farm animal care codes, transport regulations, etc.). This Committee works with producer partners to prevent and respond to any emerging issues.
- Issues Management Working Group, responsible for informing the Association’s response to emerging issues related to the dairy industry. This group serves to inform the development of DPAC-ATLC policy positions and its strategic plan.
DPAC members have the opportunity to help shape the future of the dairy industry.
