DPAC is the recognized national voice for the dairy processing sector. The organization plays an important role in promoting the interests of its members and encouraging broad acknowledgement of the benefits that growing the dairy processing industry brings to its members, the broader dairy industry, and the Canadian economy as a whole.

Regulatory Affairs

Works to advance quality, food safety, and innovation, represents the interests of dairy processors to CFIA, Agriculture and Agri-food Canada and other regulatory bodies.

Public Policy

Develops policy positions and conducts economic research on behalf of the industry in a number of areas (international trade agreements, pricing, etc.).


Represents the industry’s interests by working with government officials, the Canadian Dairy Commission and other key stakeholders such as the Dairy Farmers of Canada and provincial dairy councils to ensure that members’ perspectives are reflected in public policy decisions.

Media Relations

Presents the industry’s perspective on domestic and international issues.
